Micronutrient Delivery (g/ha)

Since micronutrients are applied in such small quantities, they are expressed here in grams per hectare (g/ha) for better precision at the 100 kg/ha product rate:

• Boron (B): 10 g/ha

• Copper (Cu): 20 g/ha

• Iron (Fe): 50 g/ha

• Manganese (Mn): 50 g/ha

• Zinc (Zn): 20 g/ha

• Molybdenum (Mo): 1 g/ha

Application Strategies

• Foliar Only (Low Volume): For rates up to 20 kg/ha, use 400–600 L/ha of water. Do not water it in immediately; allow 3–6 hours for the leaf to absorb the nutrients.

• Root-Feeding (High Volume): For rates above 30 kg/ha, you should treat this as a "liquid feed" rather than a foliar spray. Use high water volumes (800L+) and water it in with your irrigation system for 3–5 minutes immediately after spraying. This moves the nitrogen to the root zone and prevents salt damage.

4. Expert Tips for Sports Turf

• Nozzle Choice: Use flat fan nozzles with a fine-to-medium droplet size for foliar uptake (15-20 kg rates). Use flood jets or coarse droplets if you are applying 50 kg+ for root feeding.

• Timing: Always apply in the early morning or late evening. Never spray N-Max in the middle of a hot day on sports turf, as the high sulphur and ammonium content can scorch the grass.

• Temperature Drop: Remember that N-Max contains ammonium. When you mix 50 kg into a tank, the water temperature will drop significantly. Allow time for the product to fully dissolve before spraying, or you may get uneven "streaking" on the turf.

Safety Warning: Applying 100 kg/ha of this product as a pure foliar (low water volume) will likely kill or severely damage the turf. At that rate, you must apply at least 1,000 L/ha of water and follow up with irrigation.
